Austin Ainge, who, like his father, played at BYU and was a long-time executive with the Boston Celtics, was hired Monday to join Jazz CEO Danny Ainge as Utah’s president of basketball operations.

The Celtics are losing a key member of their front office this offseason as assistant general manager Austin Ainge is leaving to join the Utah Jazz as their new president of basketball operations, a source confirmed to MassLive. ESPN was first to report Ainge’s departure.
