Public trust in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy fell to its lowest level in around six months following rare wartime protests against a move to curb the power of anti-corruption watchdogs, a leading Kyiv pollster said on Wednesday.

After more than three years of war, Ukrainians are increasingly eager for a settlement that ends the fight against Russia's invasion, according to a new Gallup poll published Thursday — although only about a quarter of Ukrainians surveyed expect the guns to fall silent within the next 12 months.

As the poll shows, 76% of Ukrainians categorically reject the idea of a "peace plan" on Russian terms, as it is the aggressor state. At the same time, 17% may agree to Russia's demands. Ukrainians consider a joint peace plan by Europe and Ukraine to be the most acceptable.
