ISTANBUL (AP) — Turkey’s foreign minister said Friday that Ankara is closely monitoring an agreement between the Syrian government and a U.S-backed Kurdish-led armed group, expressing concern over potential future provocations and plots that could threaten Turkey’s security.

Turkey is "cautiously optimistic" about an agreement between the Kurdish-led and U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syria's new government, a Turkish official said on Tuesday, adding Ankara wanted to first see how it would be implemented.
