A satirical campaign proposing that Denmark purchase California has gained significant traction, collecting nearly 200,000 signatures.

Nearly 200,000 Danes are supporting a comedic effort to buy California from the U.S., in what appeared to be a jab at President Donald Trump’s repeated threats to seize Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark.
