Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after making his first appearance in court since being charged with five counts of rape and one of sexual assault.

Thomas Partey is set to join Spanish club Villarreal a month after leaving Arsenal as a free agent after his contract expired. The 32-year-old Ghanaian has undergone a medical at the La Liga side and is expected to sign a two-year deal.
