Texas state House Democrats plan to leave to break quorum of a special session in which Republicans aim to pass a new congressional map that could net the GOP five seats.

The decision comes as a "last-ditch effort" to stop Republicans who hold full control of the Texas government, from pushing through a rare mid-decade redrawing of the congressional map
