KERR COUNTY, Texas – The Hill Country flood, marked by unprecedented rainfall and unfortunate timing, has become one of the deadliest floods in Texas history, with its swift waters catching many off guard in the dead of night.

In the end, two SAFD tow vehicles and trailers were swept away by the current. However, SAFD said everyone made it out safely and unharmed. As of Tuesday, SAFD still has over 20 personnel and a variety of assets deployed to the area.
