Rookie Shedeur Sanders is putting up the best team drill statistics in the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition through nine training camp practices, outperforming Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders did not participate in team drills Saturday because of arm soreness, the team announced. With Sanders out and Kenny Pickett still a limited participant with a hamstring issue, veteran Joe Flacco and rookie Dillon Gabriel took over the quarterback reps during team drills.

The Cleveland Browns' fifth-round rookie quarterback hasn't seen any first-team reps this summer at training camp. He's still competing with three other QBs: Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel. But at the same time, the former Colorado star is performing well at camp, and that's the best he can do.
