Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will take place from August 1 to August 31.

Florida's 2025 back-to-school sales tax holiday will begin on Friday, Aug. 1, and end on Sunday, Aug. 31. This holiday occurs annually every August. Retailers do not have the option to opt out. For a wide range of retail products, sales tax will not be charged on purchases of $1,500 or less when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.
