Ricky Ponting has voiced serious concern over Rishabh Pant's fitness after the India wicketkeeper-batter was forced to retire hurt on the opening day of the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford.

India's Rishabh Pant suffered a painful foot injury during the fourth Test against England, casting a shadow over their campaign. After being struck on his right foot, Pant was visibly in agony and unable to put weight on it,

Rishabh Pant grimaced in pain and fell to the ground in sheer discomfort. He could hardly stand on his right foot, and there was bleeding. He was helped by the physio and a medical cart as his foot continued to swell.
