It's abundantly clear that the main selling point for former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith going to the Las Vegas Raiders was his relationship with new head coach Pete Carroll, who previously helped revive his career in the Emerald City.

Chip Kelly is back in the NFL after seven years in college, joining the Raiders as offensive coordinator. Geno Smith said his early impressions of the veteran play-caller's plans are "really good."

Geno Smith, the team's new starter, arguably is better than any of them. The Raiders acquired Smith in a trade with the Seahawks in March, providing the team some stability they haven't had at the position since Derek Carr left after the 2022 season.
