Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said he would seek a new trial, but not the death penalty, against Richard Glossip on murder charges.

John Fitzgerald Hanson's execution date of June 12, 2025, has been reinstated by the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. Hanson was sentenced to death for the 1999 murder of Mary Agnes Bowles, but has escaped execution twice before. The execution of a convicted murderer who has escaped death twice is back on.
