Nvidia and AMD will give the U.S. government 15% of China chip sale revenue, President Trump said Monday, confirming multiple reports.

Nvidia (NVDA) remains in focus on Monday after the artificial intelligence (AI) behemoth said it has signed a landmark deal with the White House to resume its business in China. President Donald Trump has agreed to issue an export license that will enable NVDA to continue selling chips in the world’s second-largest economy.

The president said Nvidia would pay the government in exchange for easing export restrictions — and that he'd initially asked for a larger cut.
