Simington, who was confirmed to the agency at the end of President Trump's first term in December 2020, will exit at the end of the week.

In an announcement yesterday (June 4), Republican FCC commissioner Nathan Simington confirmed he will leave the agency at the end of this week. His announcement means that two of the four current commissioners are now heading for the exit, following Geoffrey Starks announcing his departure in March.
