Russian air defence systems downed seven Ukrainian drones en route to Russia's capital overnight and on Monday morning, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel.

Ukraine has occasionally targeted the Russian capital, but has doubled down on drone strikes on Moscow in recent days.
