Luke Keaschall hit his first homer in the majors and Trevor Larnach also cleared the fences against former teammate Chris Paddack, helping the Minnesota Twins beat the Detroit Tigers 6-3 Tuesday night.

The Twins, who were largely dismantled at the trade deadline and trotted out a pitching staff full of rookies, beat the Detroit Tigers 9-4 on Wednesday afternoon at Comerica Park. The loss capped a dispiriting series for the Tigers (66-50), who dropped two of three to the Twins (54-60) and have now lost six of their last seven series.

Detroit still sits atop the American League Central, seven games up on the Cleveland Guardians. The Twins remain fourth, 6.5 games out of a Wild Card spot. Time: 1:10 p.m. ET
