The iPad Air M3 makes one of our favorite tablets even faster, though folks who own a recent Apple tablet won’t find much new here.

The iPad Air 11 with M3 is fine for certain tasks, but it can’t be your cheaper MacBook with a touchscreen. It’s better than last year’s model, but good enough may not be enough to justify the upgrade for lingering M1 iPad Air users.

That, however, is fine. And the M3 makes the iPad Air the best iPad most people should consider. It’s powerful enough to do almost anything you might want to do on an iPad, and it’s a meaningful improvement over the base iPad, which also got a spec bump.
