Two years after her Stranger Things casting was announced, the season 5 trailer has confirmed a popular theory about Linda Hamilton's character.

Along with the eye-popping trailer for Season 5 of Stranger Things that Netflix dropped Wednesday, the streamer also released a dozen spoileriffic first-look photos. The most revealing one of all? For our money,

Netflix's official synopsis for "Stranger Things: Season 5 reads; "The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown."

Fans eagerly anticipate Linda Hamilton's new Stranger Things season 5 character, and the Terminator star revealed what filming was like.

Stranger Things 5 is coming to Netflix in three parts: Volume 1 (Episodes 1-4) on November 26th, followed by Volume 2 (Episodes 5-7) on Christmas Day, and the Finale (Episode 8) on New Year’s Eve. Each volume releases at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET.

Given that Stranger Things is one of Netflix's biggest series of all time, it makes complete sense that the streamer would go all out for the last season. Likewise, Stranger Things has a history of casting iconic 1980s stars, so Hamilton joining the cast is a perfect nod to a great franchise for the final season to play into.
