US skier Lauren Macuga wins downhill portion of new team combined event at world championships
SAALBACH-HINTERGLEMM, Austria (AP) — American skier Lauren Macuga posted the fastest time in the downhill portion of the new team combined event at the Alpine skiing world championships on Tuesday.
Team Macuga finishes fourth in World Championships team combined event
Macuga will return home to Park City and rest up for the final three World Cups of the season, including the cup finals in Sun Valley, Idaho, next month. The next cup of the women’s downhill season comes Feb. 26-March 2 in Kvitfjell, Norway.
