Joss died at the age of 59 in a shooting outside of the San Antonio home where he was raised, according to multiple reports.

Jonathan Joss was known for lending his voice to the role of John Redcorn in the animated sitcom "King of the Hill."

"We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done," he shared. "Throughout that time, we were harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear they did not accept our relationship. Much of the harassment was openly homophobic." De Gonzales said the shooting was unprovoked.
