Japanese boxing officials will hold an emergency meeting on Aug. 12 as the sport in the country faces intense scrutiny following the deaths of two fighters in separate bouts at the same event.

After both Hiromasa Urakawa and Shigetoshi Kotari died after competing in separate bouts on the same event in Tokyo, the Japan Boxing Commission will hold a crisis meeting on Tuesday and expect to hav
