Rockies trade reliever Jake Bird to Yankees for prospects
Before Thursday’s trade deadline closed, Colorado traded Bird to the Bronx for second baseman Roc Riggio and left-hander Ben Shields. Riggio was the Yankees’ No. 10 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, and Shields was their No. 29 prospect.

The Yankees are acquiring right-handed reliever Jake Bird form the Rockies, a source confirmed to the Daily News on Thursday. The pre-trade deadline deal will send prospects Roc Riggio and Ben Shields to Colorado.
