A dentist and his wife are believed to have died after an airplane crashed near a North Carolina airport last week. The crash happened the morning of Friday, March 14 at a business near the Pitt-Greenville Airport in the eastern part of the state.

A weather alert was issued by the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC on Sunday at 7:25 a.m. for strong thunderstorms until 8 a.m. The alert is for Rutherford Mountains, Greater Rutherford, Polk Mountains and Eastern Polk as well as Buncombe and Henderson counties.
