Last year's American League MVP Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees and 2024 National League MVP Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers were the leading vote-getters in the latest MLB.com MVP poll, per Jason Foster.

Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani kept one-upping each other through the Yankees’ 8-5 loss Friday night at Dodger Stadium. Judge hit a 416-foot homer to center two batters in, then Ohtani started the Dodgers first with a first-pitch, 417-foot bomb to center off Yankees ace Max Fried.

"Right out of the gate, a couple of big haymakers," Aaron Boone said after each superstar homered in the first inning Friday.
