The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is taking aim at Minnesota and its Twin Cities, alleging the deliberate obstruction of the enforcement of federal immigration laws, and protecting "dangerous criminal aliens from facing consequences.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security listed Shawano County along with Dane County, Madison and Milwaukee as Wisconsin jurisdictions “defying immigration law” on Thursday. The department released the list as part of an executive order signed by President Donald Trump requiring that sanctuary jurisdictions across the country be listed.

The DHS identified 500 municipalities not complying with immigration enforcement, raising concerns about public safety and legal obligations.

The largest cities in New England were included on a list released Thursday night by the Department of Homeland Security.

In Kentucky, Campbell County, Franklin County, Jefferson County and Scott County are listed, along with the city of Louisville.

The list is made up of places noted as "sanctuaries" for immigrants, defying federal law according to the Trump administration.
