The Appoquinimink School District said a crash on Route 896 in Bear, Delaware, involved one of its school buses, but no students were injured.

Officials say a school and a small sedan crashed in New Castle County, trapping the driver of the sedan. Crews worked two hours to free the driver.

A 38-year-old man who police said led them on a brief chase − including driving on a sidewalk to pass a school bus that was letting children off − before crashing Tuesday afternoon has been arrested on numerous drug and other charges.
