Washington County commissioners said most of the old Washington Mall will be torn down to make way for new dining and retail. Those new locations will include a Costco store.

In a “major announcement” during their real estate expo Wednesday, the Washington County commissioners revealed that the retail warehouse club will become the anchor tenant at the Washington Mall site once that property is demolished and prepared for development.

It was recently announced that the old Washington Mall will be demolished to make way for new development and the anchor store will be Costco.Washington County’s Commissioners made the announcement during a real estate expo at Washington & Jefferson College Wednesday.
