The Seattle Storm, and Climate Pledge Arena announced that a statue of WNBA legend Sue Bird will be unveiled outside the venue on August 17.

Lenny Wilkens, the legendary former SuperSonics player, coach and executive, was honored as the first person to have a statue unveiled outside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

18,343 fans were at Climate Pledge Arena on Tuesday night to watch the Seattle Storm take on the Indiana Fever. That's tied for the record-largest crowd for a Storm home game. The obvious factor was Caitlin Clark, the long-range shooting sensation who has completely changed the game and helped bring it to new heights.
