A former assistant for Rhymes sued the rapper this week, claiming he assaulted him back in January for using his phone on the job.

Earlier this year, on the same day that New York rap legend Busta Rhymes release an EP, New York police arrested him for allegedly assaulting Dashiel Gables, his assistant at the time. Now, The Guardian reports that Gables is suing Busta for assault and for creating a hostile work environment.

Bus-A-Buso is pushing back against a $6 million lawsuit by ex-assistant Dashiel Gables, calling the claims a “shake-down” and preparing a countersuit.
