An Amber Alert in New Castle County has shifted to a homicide investigation. We’re told the Amber Alert, issued for 3-year-old Nola Dinkins, was canceled after it was determined that the mother allegedly gave police false information.

After an aborted Amber alert and the discovery of human remains, a Maryland mom has been charged with the murder of 3-year-old Nola Dinkins.

Randle is charged with first- and second-degree murder, and first-degree child abuse resulting in death of a minor under 13, as well as additional charges. She was taken into custody at the New Castle County Division of Police, waiting for extradition, authorities said.
