Leaving hospital with wounds still fresh, the sole survivor of last week’s Air India plane crash solemnly carried the coffin of his brother, performing the last rites for a life lost in the deadly disaster.

Civil Hospital Superintendent Rakesh Joshi confirmed that DNA matching has been completed for 211 samples, and 189 bodies have been handed over to their respective families. Among the deceased are seven Portuguese nationals, 32 British citizens, and one Canadian national.
