Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman, checked by the Dallas Stars' Mason Marchment on Tuesday, will have surgery and is expected out for the playoffs.

“He’s a top player for us,” defenseman Brett Kulak said. “Tough to lose anybody, but especially he brings an element to the game and to our team that not too many guys around the league can bring to their team. It was tough to see him leave. Hopefully, he’s all right.”

The Edmonton Oilers will likely be without hard-hitting forward Zach Hyman for the remainder of the playoffs because of an undisclosed injury to his right arm.
