Attention Illinois beer drinkers: You'll soon be able to sip on beer from Yuengling, the oldest brewery in the United States, but you'll have to get through the holidays first.

UPDATED: December 4, 2024 at 10:30 AM CST It only took 195 years, but Pennsylvania-based Yuengling beer — a regional favorite and the nation’s oldest brewery — is finally coming to Illinois.

Yuengling, the oldest brewery in the U.S., has officially launched its beers in Illinois. The rollout includes Yuengling Lager and Flight by Yuengling on draft in bars and restaurants statewide.

Next year, Yuengling will sell its beer in Illinois for the first time. The 195-year-old brewery in Pottsville, Pa., takes a slow, methodical approach to distribution.

Yuengling beer will become available in Chicago, Illinois next year, continuing Midwest expansion, its parent company announced Wednesday.
