Palmer, Mass.-based Wing Memorial Hospital & Medical Center has eliminated 16 positions and cut the hours of 38 other employees, according to a report by The Republican.

In November, Wing Memorial eliminated 16 positions and cut hours for 38 other employees, as lower inpatient volumes negatively affected the 74-bed hospital’s fiscal projections for this year.

That expansion is projected to open in the third quarter of 2024. Sarasota Memorial Hospital held a topping out ceremony Wednesday for the new five-story tower under construction on its Venice campus.
