The small WA communities of Windy Harbour and Northcliffe are battling challenging conditions and fatigue from a bushfire that has threatened both towns for more than a month.

Windy Harbour Road remains closed to traffic north and south, with Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) officials having urged locals on Tuesday to act immediately.
