UPDATED: May 7, 2025 at 10:34 AM EDT Animal rights activists are calling on Connecticut to end what they say is a cruel method of trapping wild animals that is already banned in other states.
Each year, the center treats roughly 8,000 wild animals from 150 species injured in the area. Most are hospitalized because of impacts with cars or glass, or because of poisoning or poaching.
