National Night Out started in 1984 and takes place on the first Tuesday in August each year. This year, 17,000 communities are participating, with over 120 being in New York.

Elizabeth's National Night Out will be held Tuesday, August 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carteret Park, located at 599 Vine Street.
