A proposed 192-unit affordable housing development in southwest Cedar Rapids aims to complement and support the ongoing construction of the city's new Westside Library.

The current proposal would build a $6.3 million, 15,000-square-foot library on the site of Hillcrest Park at 501 McCain Drive in the city’s Hillcrest neighborhood.
