West Brom fan pundit Callum Burgess believes Josh Griffiths has an important role to play with Alex Palmer set to join Ipswich Town.

Ipswich Town have signed West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Alex Palmer.The 28-year-old had a medical at Portman Road before the transfer deadline and will leave The Hawthorns having come through the club's academy.

Albion are reportedly close to signing the forward for a fee in the region of £3.3m. According to reports in Denmark, the forward is undergoing a medical ahead of a move to The Hawthorns. The news has emerged shortly after it was revealed by the Express & Star that Alex Palmer is set to leave the club in a £5m move to Premier League Ipswich Town.

Former West Brom boss Carlos Corberan, now at Valencia, signed the Serbian defensive midfielder on loan from Sassuolo in the summer. However, his loan spell at the club has not gone according to West Brom’s plans,
