STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 39-year-old man was shot in the leg in West Brighton in one of two incidents where guns were discharged on Monday on the North Shore of Staten Island.

Officers responded to a 911 call on Saturday morning about an unresponsive infant at the West Brighton Houses. Later Saturday, Leonard Thompson, 38, and Jenice Lightfoot, 36, were both arrested.
