Before the arena opened in 2005, Wells Fargo paid $11.5 million for the naming rights for 20 years. Casey's will pay $18.3 million to have the rights for 10 years.

The name change will be the first since 2010, when the arena was renamed from the Wachovia Center to Wells Fargo. The arena, which opened in August 1996, has had a number of names over its history.

The Wells Fargo Center on Sept. 1 is to become the Xfinity Mobile Arena. It's to continue under that name through the 2030-31 season, according to Comcast Spectacor, the building's owner.
