The bunny-like Viera originated in Final Fantasy XII and were first introduced to FFXIV with the 2019 expansion Shadowbringers, but were only available as female in the MMORPG.

As a reminder, both the female Viera and male Hrothgar were added in FFXIV Shadowbringers. Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

This leads to the creation process not reflecting the actual in-game result. But in the latest announcement, we got some official confirmation that changes are coming.
