My sister and I visited San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the first time. We enjoyed the beaches, food, nightlife, and more, without breaking the bank.

Just keep in mind that Calle San Sebastian is the Old San Juan “bar street”, so it can be loud any day of the week. For some visitors that’s an advantage and for others it’s a disadvantage.

Back in Old San Juan, I sign up for a Spoon walking tour. On our walk, we sip rum cocktails, sample slow-cooked pork and plantains, and pause at iconic landmarks like El Morro.
