Thousands of raucous protesters rallied against President Trump’s renewed effort to deport illegal migrants and ground traffic to a standstill on a Los Angeles freeway Sunday afternoon. The throngs of demonstrators waving flags of Mexico and other countries south of the border shut down a portion of 101 Freeway for hours – though no arrests were reported into the evening.

KTLA wrote Sunday that “anti-ICE protesters are blocking both sides of the 101 Freeway near the Alameda Street exit in DTLA,” adding that California Highway Patrol closed that portion of the roadway. The attached video shows some people holding signs and Mexican flags.
