University of Chicago officials said Wednesday that visa terminations of three students and four recent graduates were found during an audit. University of Illinois and Northwestern students also reportedly had visas revoked.

The federal government has revoked the visas of some international students studying at universities across Illinois, but college administrators are sharing few details, including how many students have been impacted.

An international student at the University of Iowa had their visa revoked, according to an email sent to members of the campus community.
