Gov. Tony Evers has ordered flags across Wisconsin to fly half-staff in remembrance of Pope Francis, who died Monday at the age of 88. The governor's order follows a nationwide order by President Donald Trump to fly all United States flags on public buildings and grounds at half-mast until sunset on the day of the pope's interment.

Pope Francis passed away at the age of 88 on Monday, April 21 after a final appearance at St. Peter's Square following Easter Mass.

Both Texas and United States flags are half-staff to honor the death of Pope Francis. The flags will remain lowered through his internment.
