DAVIS, Calif. — Ahead of a scheduled event on the UC Davis campus on Thursday, a squabble occurred between protestors and supporters of a conservative speaker, the university said.

That help is appreciated as UC Davis hopes to shine a light on campus safety. The university has committed more than $20 million in funding for campus safety and security.
