1. Pick a flower on National Tulip Day. Each year on the third Saturday of January, Amsterdam’s central Dam Square comes alive with around 200,000 tulips that make up a temporary garden.

You can see tulips, the iconic flower of the Netherlands, in Amsterdam and Lisse, and during events like the Bollenstreek Bloemencorso in 2025.
