In 1719, the book dealer, medicine merchant and one-time spy Louis Renard published a unique book by artist Samuel Fallour. Fishes, Crayfishes, and Crabs was the world's first colour book of fish.

Several members of the Scituate Arts Association’s Watercolor Class instructed by Mary Beth LoPiccolo caught some fish and the spirit of the Library Foundation’s Go Fish fundraising campaign.
