A powerful 5.8 magnitude earthquake has struck near the Dodecanese Islands along the Turkey-Greece border, sending tremors across parts of southern Greece, western Turkey, and coastal regions of the Aegean Sea.

A magnitude 5.8 earthquake shook a ceiling fan as it rattled homes in southwestern Turkey. CCTV footage shows the fixture swinging when the tremors hit Mugla City in the early hours of June 3. The United States Geological Survey said the quake struck five kilometres south of Icmeler at 23:17 UTC on Tuesday.
